Dr. Susan Darby received her bachelor's degree from Millikin University and her doctorate degree from the department of anatomy at the University of Illinois (Chicago) Medical Center campus.
At NUHS, where she has been teaching full-time since 1987, Dr. Darby has taught neuroanatomy, histology and embryology, and spine and extremities anatomy in the College of Professional Studies. She has also taught anatomy courses in the massage therapy and bachelor of science programs in the College of Allied Health Sciences.
Dr. Darby has been the advisor for many student organizations and has served on numerous committees as a faculty member of NUHS. She has also been a member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners test committee, a consultant-evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, and an associate editor for the Journal of the Neuromusculoskeletal System.
Dr. Darby is co-author (with Dr. Gregory Cramer) of the text entitled Clinical Anatomy of the Spine, Spinal Cord, and ANS, the third edition of which was published in 2013.
