Moira Jenkins, DC, LAc., has been Chair of the Department of Basic Sciences for National University’s Illinois campus since 2021.
As chair, Dr. Jenkins leads the department’s faculty, coordinates instruction, advises students, and serves as a member on several committees that assess effective delivery and content of material for student success. She also teaches Head and Neck Anatomy and Neurophysiology course.
Dr. Jenkins previously taught various anatomy and biology courses at NUHS and Northern Illinois University, where she was voted Most Valuable Professor for three years and recognized for her work in mentorship. She also has 20 years of experience as a clinic director at a practice that emphasized nutrition, orthopedics, chiropractic, physical therapy, and rehabilitation.
She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic, Bachelor of Biomedical Science and acupuncture license from National University. Additionally she earned her Master of Science in Biology with a specialization in human anatomical science from Northern Illinois University.
