Supporting Veterans and Active Military
National University of Health Sciences has a proud history of supporting our United States veterans, and we continue to build on that history today. After World War II, National University was home to the very first VFW post on a professional degree college campus. Today, we are home to many men and women who have served in our armed forces. You can find them in our student body, our administration, or on our faculty and staff.
General Benefits
National University supports student veterans through participation in key programs sponsored by the Department of Veteran Affairs. Whichever program or degree you choose to pursue at National University, your tuition costs may be 100% covered depending on your eligibility.
If you are just starting to explore educational programs, visit the Department’s online index of benefits. Then be sure to review the Yellow Ribbon program on the next tab.
Please read the Veteran’s Handbook for detailed information on eligibility and how to apply.

The rigorous programs at NUHS demand resilience, drawing upon the experiences of navigating high-pressure situations while in service […] Just as in the military, teamwork proves invaluable in managing these challenges. Throughout my first trimester, I found support not only from peers but also from professors and upperclassmen, highlighting the collective commitment to each other’s success on campus.
