Katherine Bogaard
Instructor, ND Program
Katherine Bogaard, ND, teaches full-time in the Clinical Sciences Department.
Before joining the faculty at NUHS, she worked in an integrative and holistic medical setting alongside conventional medical practitioners, chiropractors, osteopathic doctors and therapists. She focused much of her practice on nutrition, women’s health and fertility optimization.
She first began working at National University in 2018 at the Whole Health Center in Lombard as a part-time Clinician before moving to full-time teaching faculty in 2022.
She earned her Doctor of Naturopathic degree from National University of Health Sciences and her Bachelor of Arts from Whittier (CA) College.
Dr. Bogaard is most passionate about working hands-on with students, getting to know them and helping them reach their academic goals.
“Students’ love of learning and medicine helps to keep me motivated to continue learning as well,” she said. “Seeing students apply knowledge and growing throughout the trimester is great to see.”
