Taking Breaks

Many teachers are still holding class via Zoom, so we are still engaging in the learning process. I will say that online classes take a higher level of self-discipline and focus so that you stay on pace with the syllabus. Whenever I feel fatigued, I take a study break. On my latest study break I found that my pear tree finally produced fruit!!

Despite my allergies I love to be in nature, I find that I’m able to find peace & hear God’s voice the loudest. After my Materia Medica 3 exam, I desperately needed a break. So, it was time for a walk, my eyes went straight to the white mulberry tree.DSC04764

In TCM the leaves of the white mulberry tree (Mori Folium) or sang ye fall into the category of cool acrid herbs that release the exterior. I spent some time admiring the leaves, because today I saw them in a different light. This brief interaction with the mulberry tree gave me the boost I needed to keep going!
