Databases and Journals
In addition to the databases below, the James F. Winterstein Library also provides access to several electronic journal subscriptions. For more detailed information on accessing and utilizing library electronic resources, please refer to Electronic Access at NUHS, or contact the Reference Librarian at 630-889-6617 or [email protected].
Access to most databases, electronic journals and ebooks is automatic when you are on-campus and using our computer servers. When you are off-campus, you can access most electronic resources by clicking on the “A-to-Z (Full Text Finder)” link below. When you are prompted for a log-in, enter your 14-digit library bar code and your pin number. For remote access, you must have a current library card for the NUHS library (current students must update their card in our system each year). Contact the library circulation desk if you don’t know your pin number. Remember: Please do not share your login information; abuse of our subscription resources will jeopardize the library’s access to those resources.
Online access to some journals might not be available due to ongoing subscription changes. Please check with the reference librarian and let him know about these specific problems.
