Historic Commencement Welcomes Florida Speaker and Graduates
The December graduation ceremony, held on Thursday the thirteenth in Lombard, was a historic one for National University of Health Sciences. The College of Professional Studies conferred the doctor of chiropractic degree on the first graduates from the university’s Florida campus. They were among the fifty-eight graduates from the four degree programs within the College. The Lincoln College of Postprofessional, Graduate and Continuing Education awarded one degree in its master of science in advanced clinical practice program.
Additionally, Ms. Catherine Kennedy, who serves St. Petersburg College (SPC) as an associate vice president, gave the commencement address. Ms. Kennedy was instrumental in forging the original agreement between National University and SPC’s University Partnership Center (UPC) to make the NUHS Florida campus a reality.
For her historic role in the founding of our second campus, and her continued work toward educational excellence and program diversity at the UPC, Ms. Kennedy received the honorary doctor of laws degree from National University of Health Sciences during the ceremony.
