Aayu Clinics Naturopathic Medicine (ND) Position

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $105,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
PTO: 2 weeks beginning the first year.
Benefits begin at 30 days of hire.
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week.

What are we looking for?
•Graduate of an accredited four-year, professional-level program
•The school has continuously maintained its federal accreditation during your school years.
•Passed the NPLEX 1 and 2 and be eligible for licensure. (new graduates should have registered for the August 2024 NPLEX)
•Providers who prioritize personal growth, a high-quality, evidence-based practice, patient continuity, continuing education, and a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
•The Medical Director and board-certified physicians provide personalized 1-on-1 clinical support for your professional development.

•Meets all criteria to be eligible for licensing, in any of the states of OR, AZ, CO, (or other). Licensure is not required.

What is my role?
•Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate medical history, current health status, and lifestyle factors.
•Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating natural therapies, dietary recommendations, nutritional supplements, herbal remedies, and other holistic modalities.
•Educate patients on the principles of naturopathic medicine, emphasizing preventative care and healthy living habits.
•Coordinate patient care with primary care physicians and specialists to maintain consistent treatment plans, engaging with patients regularly to ensure compliance and provide support.
•Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes.
•Serve as an advisor on herb-drug interactions and contribute to the development of integrative health initiatives.
•Create informative newsletters and online content and provide personalized recommendations for integrative patient care.

•Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree from an accredited institution.
•1-2 years of experience in an integrative care setting preferred.
•Postgraduate certification in Regenerative Medicine or Aesthetic Medicine preferred.
•Experience with naturopathic approaches for mental health is advantageous.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

What is the importance of maintaining core competencies and skills in general medicine?
•For all providers, early specialization in one specialty significantly decreases the likelihood of changing to another specialty or primary care.
•Studies show limited data on negative impacts of specialization, but there are concerns about long-term career mobility.
•Aayu Clinics encourages a generalist approach to maintain broader competencies.

Can you describe the work culture?
•One of the benefits that Aayu Clinics provides is excellent teammates. We have made carefully built and maintained a culture of extreme collaboration and team players who take accountability as an example when a provider at Wicker Park is busy, the Lakeview provider would go ahead and take care of any tasks due for the Wicker Park provider. What will my onboarding and training look like?
•Intensive training with a focus on knowledge and skill development
•Initial shadowing of senior providers, medical director
•Graded transition to independent practice with continuous close support
•Free CME to maintain and advance skills.

Am I expected to complete charting from home?

•Aayu Clinics aims to help providers achieve productivity levels that allow them to see a smaller number of more complex patients, potentially matching the reimbursement of practices where providers see a much larger volume.
•The goal is to complete all work, including charting, within the scheduled shift without taking work home.
•We use Artificial Intelligence for documentation, and composing patient discharge instructions, and 90% of our prescriptions are templated.
•The Medical Assistants play a large role in taking responsibilities off providers.

•10-hour shift
•12-hour shift
•Evening shift
•Weekends as needed.

Ability to Relocate:
•Lakeview and Wicker Park.
•Chicago, IL 60657 and 60622: Relocate before starting work (Required)
