The Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Club at National University held a clothing drive on October 27th to benefit needy residents at Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

The students collected a small mountain of warm clothing, over 50 bags full, and are sorting through donations preparing to ship the items. “We are still in need of monetary donations to help with shipping costs,” said clothing drive organizer, Mia Davis, 8th trimester student at NUHS and member of the AOM Club. Mia spearheaded the drive after watching a CBS “60 Minutes” story on living conditions at the reservation and the struggles that many of its residents face.

Mia and fellow club member Kevin Cahill, who are both working to sort and ship the donations, would like to thank everyone who participated in this important cause.
