Mark McCray – Massage Therapy
Mark McCray (NUHS ’02) spent about 12 years as a counselor for the Juvenile Department of Corrections before finding his calling as a massage therapist.
He first discovered the field after receiving massages as a way to relax before his stressful job. “That sensation that I felt, I wanted to give to other people,” he said.
Today, after 15 years in the business, McCray’s full-time career continues to thrive. He’s worked in various upscale hotels and resorts in Las Vegas and currently works in Atlanta, where he meets a wide range of clients, including those in the film industry.
In the near future, McCray said he’s looking forward to doing more traveling and working in different places. “As long as you can get your licensing taken care of you can massage basically anywhere in the world,” McCray said.
