Dr. Audra lance

Doctor of Chiropractic, Class of 2013

Dr. Audra Lance Doctor of ChiropracticDr. Audra Lance always knew she wanted to be in the medical field.  When she was at Ohio State she ended up working for a chiropractor who inspired her to go to Chiropractic school. After graduating from National in 2013, Dr. Lance moved to Nashville and started her own concierge cash based practice.  She works with all types of patients, including professional athletes, children, teens, pregnant women, singers and band members, and has been fortunate to travel with Team USA the past 3 years.

At her practice, she makes sure to take the time needed in order to determine the exact cause of your health issue in order to treat the root of the problem and not just symptoms. Some of the modalities she offers include: ART, DNS, McKenzie, motion palpation and dry needling.

One of the things Dr. Lance did while in school at NUHS that she highly recommends is to get out and shadow a lot of different chiropractors in order to see how everyone runs their practice.  Find numerous mentors that you can go to for questions and advice, and don’t be shy to ask for their help whenever you need it.  That was a great tool to have for her and she still calls on those mentors in her practice today.  She also highly recommends that you take seminars to advance your techniques and take advantage of the clubs!

In her motion palpation seminars they used to put a quote up: “a patient doesn’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”  She has found that being able to relate to and connect with your patients is key. Getting comfortable talking to people you don’t know and relating to them fast would be a good exercise to utilize while taking a break studying, she says.

“The best feeling in the world is being able to help someone.  Having such an impact on people’s lives in the short amount of time you spend with them is incredible. I feel it is an accomplishment to truly be excited to go to work every day.  I want to keep learning and being the best doctor I can and try to help as many people as possible.”
