Schweitzer Fellowship Opportunities
Each year, 30 students from a wide range of disciplines are selected as Schweitzer Fellows to design and implement innovative projects aimed at improving the health and well-being of underserved communities throughout Chicago. The Schweitzer Fellowship provides students an opportunity to augment their academic careers with experience working in communities, planning and leading a project from the ground up and making an important difference in the lives of others. In addition to their community work, other Program elements help to inspire and inform the Fellows and reinforce their commitment to humanitarian service. These include monthly meetings, symposia on pertinent public health issues and service days.
