About Diana

What do you like about NUHS?
I like NUHS, because everyone is involved within the community, and everyone is nice and helpful. I have worked a variety of jobs including waitress, baker, cake decorator, child welfare specialist, machine operator and electrician. My favorite job was managing a certification program for students, and my interest in higher education brought me to NUHS. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places with my family, as well as going to the movie theatre and playing video games.

How do you help prospective students?
As a first-generation college student, I know first-hand how important service and support is while researching schools. My personal education journey was filled with unknowns and apprehensions from the search to the application process. Fortunately, I had the support of a friend and guidance from an admission counselor and advisor to help me successfully navigate the journey. As an admission counselor for NUHS, I remain mindful of my personal experience in supporting prospective students. I do this by providing support throughout the admission process, and most importantly, assist prospective students in making confident decisions about their search, clarifying the process, and ultimately welcoming them to the NUHS family.

What are some little known facts about you?

  • I paid off my student loans within a year.
  • I have two degrees: psychology and justice studies.
  • My daughter, Melody, is my world. She is named after a character in Doctor Who.
  • I have met celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Madonna and Usher.
  • My favorite holidays to celebrate are Halloween and Day of the Dead.
