Diagnostic Imaging Residency
The Diagnostic Imaging residency program is full-time and 3
calendar years in length. Concurrent enrollment in National
University's Master of Science (MS) degree
program Diagnostic Imaging is an integral and mandatory part of
the residency. The cost of the master's program is waived for the
resident.
Applying
We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2021. We accept
only one Diagnostic Imaging resident per year with the program
commencing on or around September 1st of each year.
Applications (except for the application fee) can
also be accepted electronically to srogers@nuhs.edu.
The on-campus interviews take place later in May. There will be
a Diagnostic Imaging entrance examination on the same day as the
interviews. We like to notify the selected applicant early June to
give them 3 months notice prior to beginning the program.

Core topics for the Diagnostic Imaging Residency include:
- Chest and Intrathoracic Pathology and Disorders
(Cardiovascular, Pulmonary)
- Gastrointestinal Pathology and Disorders
- Genitourinary Pathology and Disorders
- Neuroradiology
- Musculoskeletal Pathology and Disorders (Arthritis,
Blood-Vascular, Congenital/Dysplasias, Infection, Internal
Derangement, Metabolic and Endocrine, Nutritional, Trauma,
Tumors)
- Medical Physics
- Medical Ethics
Benefits
The resident is compensated with stipends for each year in
the amounts of $30,000 for year 1; $32,500 for year 2;
and $35,000 for year 3. Health insurance is provided along with 2
weeks (10 days) of paid time off each year. In addition, all
National University postgraduate programs are complimentary.
