Typically, the cold weather doesn’t bother me too much. However, it has gotten VERY cold here! We have a good amount of snow, which I think is really pretty. With biase, I admit that the only reason I find the snow nice is because I don’t have to worry about commuting in it. Have I mentioned how awesome it is to live on campus? I know, I know, I have mentioned it in most of my blog posts…
Sorry. Anyway, to show how cold it is here, consider the fact that three days this week will be warmer in a city called North Pole, Alaska than it will be in Lombard, Ill. (four days if you include today).
I guess the cold weather isn’t too bad, especially since the library is nice and warm. I love looking out at the snowy campus from the tables in the library. The windows make everything so bright.
Another cool thing I did recently was watch a live webinar on how to plan and execute a successful lobby day, hosted by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). There is a part of me that is not anxious to jump back into politics, but there is a bigger part that knows a lot of help is needed to move naturopathic medicine forward.
After being motivated from the webinar, I reached out to both the Illinois Association and the Maryland Association to ask how I could help. I hope they get back to me soon, so I can tell them more about my previous political experience and help them with some of their grass roots political efforts.
