We’re moving into the last couple weeks of the trimester and the studying hours are piling up. I am certainly ready for the Tri to end, as it’s my last one with this high of a credit load. This trimester I took about 33 credit hours (if you include the acupuncture elective course) and the credit hour workload steadily gets lower from here until graduation. I am also pleased to say that I passed the acupuncture course! Now all I have left to do is pass the national board exam in September, and I will be a licensed chiropractic acupuncturist.
Over the last two weeks we’ve had a lot going on in my class. We had several birthdays on campus, which led to a couple lunches out and celebrations to attend. It was nice because, as close as we all are, we hardly find the time to all meet up for lunch together or do things as a group outside of school. So having everyone gathered around a table at the local diner down the street was a very fun time. We also went to TopGolf as a group over the weekend. This was my first time ever swinging a golf club–I now understand why so many golfers visit chiropractors! I was so sore the next day, but it was worth it, because I won the game we were playing by the end of the day.
Finally, we had our pre-finals de-stressor event on campus this last week. In week 13 every trimester, Student Services puts together a little social with some food and activities during lunch. The highlight of this Tri’s event was the build your own popcorn mix bar, a bunch of balloons, and MoPal Club’s fundraiser. Their fundraiser was giving people an opportunity to pie the professors, students, and deans in the face with whipped cream! It was a ton of fun, and I was very glad to participate this time around, even though I smelled like milk for the rest of the day…
Well, this is my last post for this trimester! I will be writing up again in Tri 7 in September. Looking forward to sharing about break, the Florida Chiropractic Association National Convention, and our Homecoming on my first post back. As always, if you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].
