Quoted at World Federation of Chiropractic

I had a pretty cool and unique opportunity that came to develop this last weekend. A few months ago, I applied for the annual International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) scholarship and was soon notified that I would not be receiving the award. Now fast forward to early March, and you could imagine my surprise when the president of FICS – Dr. Pete Garbutt, a chiropractor who practices in Australia – emailed me asking for my permission to quote my scholarship essay at the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) International Congress in Berlin, Germany!

The essay prompt focused on the importance of sports chiropracti, and the quote that resonated with him was as follows: “As the sports chiropractic profession grows, it benefits all chiropractors across the board.” I am very excited to be recognized on the international stage, and proud to represent NUHS in a positive light. I cannot wait to see what kinds of opportunities this experience may lead to as I further establish myself in the field of chiropractic. This just goes to show that it’s important to put a full effort into everything you do, you never know who might notice!
