(PINELLAS PARK, Florida) — National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) is pleased to announce the grand opening of its Veteran’s Clinic in the NUHS Whole Health Center, Pinellas Park, Florida, on Friday, September 7. The clinic will be open Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is the second Veteran’s Clinic operated by National University Whole Health Centers; the new Florida Veteran’s Clinic will join its sister location in Lombard, Illinois.
In alignment with the Lombard site, the Pinellas Park clinic will specialize in treating a wide variety of injuries and disorders that affect combat veterans, including: post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain. The facility will offer natural and drug-free health options, as well as the ability to co-manage patients’ treatment plans with their physicians. Acupuncture services are free of charge to veterans through the generous sponsorship of China-Gel®. For information regarding discounted services for veterans and their spouses, as well as fees, the clinic may be directly contacted.
“China-Gel is proud to help sponsor these free and discounted services that our service men and women find so helpful,” said China-Gel CEO Dan Georgen. “Through these services, we are able to show a small token of appreciation to the veterans who have done so much for our country.”
Because National University embraces integrative medicine, many treatment plans are enhanced by non-invasive procedures and drug-free modalities such as chiropractic medicine and take-home relaxation strategies. These therapies are excellent for relieving a wide variety of health conditions, particularly those experienced by veterans.
The new Veteran’s Clinic will offer a wide-range of health care services, including: chiropractic, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, and laboratory tests. “NUHS is thrilled to open the new Veteran’s Clinic in Florida, because these services have made such a positive difference for our veterans in Illinois. We are able to provide greater access to care and an increased scope of services,” said Daniel Strauss, DC, dean of the College of Professional Studies, National University-Florida.
