The time has finally come to present Dr. Addison Ozakyol, DC, ATC!

After almost four years in the chiropractic program here at NUHS-Florida, I will finally graduate with my degree on December 18, 2020. While I am enormously excited to be finished and am beyond ready to begin working in the field, I will always look back and reminisce about the times I had here at school. I greatly enjoyed my experience throughout the program here at National!

Through my time in the program, I have been so lucky to have many opportunities that I have been involved with, and many that I didn’t know I would become so passionate about. I tutored four classes and their associated labs, stepped up as president of two student clubs, became a certified acupuncture provider, won first prize in the 2018 ACASC Tom Hyde student research competition, served as the first ever Senior Ambassador to NCMIC for the NUHS-Florida campus, Ambassador and Board member of the Pinellas County Chiropractic Society (PCCS), was appointed 2nd Vice President of the Student ACASC, and finally, recognized with the 2020 Ed Feindberg ACASC Student of the Year Award. All of these extra interests and groups made for a wonderfully fulfilling time in the program, and I am honored to be able to help represent NUHS over the last three years.

Ultimately, while my journey may not have been one of a more the typical student in the DC program, the work and effort I put in both in and outside the classroom has really prepared me to feel comfortable, confident, knowledgeable, and ready (albeit a little nervous!) to be in practice. At this time, I do not know exactly what the plan is after graduation and have not finalized options, but I can say that it’s looking good that I will be an associate here in Pinellas County come early 2021!
