Accept Your Offer & Finalize Your Admission

Congratulations on Your Acceptance to NUHS!

Your hard work has truly paid off and we celebrate your outstanding academic achievements. Welcome to our community of innovative medical professionals who are committed to pushing the boundaries of integrative medicine.

This is your opportunity to grow in a collaborative space dedicated to natural health. Together we will create a brighter future for both patients and practitioners.

Your future at NUHS starts here.

Use this checklist to complete the steps necessary for enrolling in your degree program. It will help you navigate submitting your required documents and exploring essential resources for new students. We want to ensure you feel completely confident and ready for your first day at NUHS.

Step 1: Pay Your Deposit to Enroll

Accepted students in first-professional or post-professional programs must submit a $225 deposit to confirm their enrollment. This deposit can be conveniently paid online through logging into your Application Portal or by coordinating alternative payment methods through the Office of Student Accounts.

For students accepted into bachelor’s completion or prerequisite programs, no deposit is required. Simply notify the NUHS Admissions Team of your decision to enroll to finalize your admission.

Have questions or need help? Reach out to your Admissions Counselor or the New Student Liaison for assistance.

Step 2: Complete Required Tasks for Admitted Students

Once you submit your deposit, our New Student Liaison will prepare for your onboarding and contact you to schedule your new student appointment. If you’d like to schedule your call sooner, feel free to book a time directly on his calendar.  This appointment is a great opportunity to address your onboarding questions and review the required tasks for admitted students below to ensure you’re ready on the first day of class.

1.  Submit Required Documents

To complete your onboarding, please submit the following documents to [email protected]. Include your name, degree program and any relevant information in your message. You can send everything in one email or submit documents separately as you receive them.

      • Immunization Records: All students must provide documentation with proof of immunization. Submit your paperwork early to ensure your registration eligibility for the next trimester. Please complete the immunization record requirements before attending student orientation.
      • Student ID Photo: Submit a passport-style photo for your NUHS Student ID. Review the photo requirements before submission to ensure your image meets our guidelines. No selfies or filters are allowed.

2.  Finalize Financial Aid and Review Scholarship Opportunities

Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by using school code 001732 at www.fafsa.gov. Results are delivered via a FAFSA Submission Summary, typically available 1 to 3 days after online submission. It includes the Student Aid Index (SAI), which determines eligibility for federal grants and loans. Log in to StudentAid.gov to view, print and check for corrections or required verification. Please submit all necessary paperwork promptly to ensure your aid is processed on time.

National University offers a variety of incoming student scholarships across all programs. We provide awards based on academic achievement, alumni legacy and state residency, as well as specific programs to assist minority and international students. These scholarships can significantly reduce your tuition expenses, so be sure to explore all options available to you.

For further information about financial aid, FASFA, loan distribution and scholarships, we encourage you to review our Financial Aid FAQs. If you require additional assistance, please reach out to the New Student Liaison to coordinate your request with the Office of Financial Aid to ensure you get the answers you need.

3.  Explore and Secure Housing

NUHS offers on-campus housing in Illinois and provides resources to locate off-campus housing using VeryApt in both Illinois and Florida.

      • On-Campus Housing (IL): Our residence facilities are convenient and comfortable, welcoming single students as well as married couples with families. For support with on-campus accommodations, contact the Housing Coordinator at 630-889-6661 or [email protected].
      • Off-Campus Housing (IL & FL): Take advantage of the NUHS VeryApt Housing Guide and Portal to make your off-campus search easier and more personalized. The Housing Guides, specific to the Lombard and Pinellas Park areas, offers details on neighborhoods, rent averages and helpful tips, while the Housing Portal allows you to browse apartment listings, take virtual tours and connect with potential roommates all within the NUHS community. These tools are designed to support your transition and help you find housing that fits your needs in both Illinois and Florida.

If you have any questions about off-campus housing or need help using VeryApt, contact the New Student Liaison for assistance.

After securing your housing arrangements, please email the New Student Liaison to confirm whether you’ll be living on or off campus. This helps the admissions team and fellow admitted students coordinate availability as the next trimester approaches.

4.  Pay Tuition & Fees

Tuition is due on the first day of the trimester. Billing statements can be viewed via the MyNU Student Portal two weeks before the trimester begins, as long as you’ve registered for classes. This billing statement will show your expected charges, financial aid and balance due as of the date printed.

The Office of Student Accounts offers payment plans to students who are unable to pay their bill in full by the first day, dividing the balance into four equal payments. Contact Student Accounts for more details about due dates and fees or to sign up for a plan. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, money order and credit card.

For more information about tuition, fees and payment options, please visit the Student Accounts FAQs. Here, you’ll find detailed answers to common questions and resources to help you manage your payments effectively. The Office of Student Accounts can assist you with additional inquires at 630-889-6557 or by emailing the Student Accounts Coordinator at [email protected].

5. Register for the Coffee and Cases Virtual Capstone Event

The Coffee and Cases virtual event is open exclusively to admitted students. Participants will explore engaging academic cases that highlight the University’s focus on evidence-based medicine, integrative medicine, patient-centered approaches and broad-scope modalities. Hosted by the University President or Academic Deans alongside Admissions, this event provides valuable insight into the NUHS mission of superior health care education.

Registration forms are available from the Office of Student Accounts on the second floor of Janse Hall. You will need to provide the make, model, color, year and license plate number of the vehicle(s) you would like permitted.

Vehicle tags expire August 31st of each year, and all vehicles must be completely reregistered to obtain a new NUHS vehicle tag.

Advising and registration take place 6-8 weeks prior to the start of the term. You will receive an email from your program’s dean to schedule your advising appointment. At that time, you will review your schedule, curriculum and flex-track options.
