Students, faculty, and staff volunteered at the St. Pete Beach Classic Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races on Sat., Jan 14, and Sun. Jan 15, 2012.

NUHS-Florida had the largest number of participants out of all volunteer groups. Thirteen students, one instructor, and one staff member helped with traffic and water stops for each of the races.

The weekend event drew nearly 1,200 runners including NUHS student Drew Hunt. Hunt, running his first half marathon, finished second in his age group (20-24) with a time of 1:41:16. Hunt is the president of the Sports Council Club.
