National University conferred certificates and degrees on 70 graduates in commencement ceremonies for both its College of Allied Health Sciences and College of Professional Studies.
The morning commencement for the College of Allied Health Sciences featured President Joseph Stiefel who addressed massage therapy certificate and bachelor of science degree graduates. His address traced how a myriad of influences on our outlook and education had come together by association across time and cultures. His message encouraged graduates to thus appreciate the fruit of those associations and the effects we have on each other.
Commencement speaker Suzanne M. Garszczynski, PhD, MBA
During the afternoon ceremony for DC, ND, MSOM and MSAc graduates from the College of Professional Studies, the university welcomed commencement speaker Suzanne M. Garszczynski, PhD, MBA. Dr. Garszczynski, who served on the NUHS Board of Trustees for 18 years, gave graduates an account of the board’s ongoing commitment to student interests. She spoke about the diversity in background among board members, and how the board persevered toward progress in adopting a university structure, enforcing higher matriculation standards, and launching a Florida site for NUHS.
