NUHS Offers Generous Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Thursday, July 3, 2014

National University of Health Sciences has launched a new scholarship award for all Phi Theta Kappa community college nuhs lrchonor students. The scholarship will be available starting in the fall of 2014 for PTK members who choose to enroll in the university’s bachelor degree completion program in the biomedical sciences.

“Many of our BS students go on to pursue graduate level degrees in science and health care, with many gaining admission to various medical schools,” says President Joseph Stiefel of NUHS. “That’s why we feel Phi Theta Kappa members and NUHS are a great match.”

The $2000 scholarship will be awarded to PTK students in two separate disbursements of $1000, one in each of the student’s first two trimesters. Recipients must be a member of PTK, have earned a 3.5 grade point average, and have completed a minimum of 33 credit hours of college coursework.

The bachelor of biomedical science program at NUHS is an evening degree program that can often be completed in 16 months. Since NUHS is primarily known for its graduate and professional degree programs in chiropractic medicine, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and oriental medicine, BS students are often taught by graduate level professors in graduate level science laboratories and facilities on campus.
