This Friday, July 20, the naturopathic medical student association at National University will host Dr. Cheryl Burdette, who will be speaking on “Oxidative Stress in Health and Disease.” The presentation will be at noon in room D139.

Cheryl Burdette, ND,received her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Bastyr University in 2001, and completed her residency doctor cheryl burdetteat Cancer Treatment Centers of America. She is currently in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia at Progressive Medical Center, one of the largest Integrative Medicine clinics in the Southeast. She has been the director of the only naturopathic residency program in the U.S. in functional medicine and nutritional biochemistry.

Dr. Burdette is one of the authors of the book, Laboratory Evaluations in Molecular Medicine and has published in many journals including Alternative Medicine Review and Clinical Chemistry. She serves as a faculty member at the University of Bridgeport and is also president and education director of NutraTest Labs. In this position she is involved in clinical trials of different nutraceutical products as well as development of functional testing profiles.
