Do you have questions on how health care reform will affect you as a future health care provider? How will this reform affect chiropractic physicians?

On this podcast, Dr. Bruce Hodges gives an overview on “Obamacare,” otherwise known as the Patient Protection and doctor bruce hodgesAffordable Care Act (PPACA). This talk was initially given at a presentation sponsored by the NUHS chapter of the Student American Chiropractic Association, of which Dr. Hodges is a faculty advisor.

Dr. Hodges summarizes the major components of the new law, who must purchase coverage, how the new law will be funded and how it will affect chiropractic physicians and their scope of practice, as well as potential changes after the November elections.

Bruce Hodges, DC, MSACP is an associate professor at National University as well as a clinician in the Illinois campus’ student clinic. He has served on National’s faculty for 15 years, coordinating its ethical practice management program, and was chair of the Department of Chiropractic Medicine for five years. In 2002, he was elected and served three terms as the faculty council representative to the American Chiropractic Association House of Delegates. He has lectured extensively to students and practitioners on various practice and risk management issues facing today’s chiropractic physicians.
