DC interns from the NUHS Whole Health Center-Chicago were on hand to provide pre and post-race stretching and care for runners in Chicago’s second annual “Undie Dash” held on July 26^th.  Starting and ending at DuSable Harbor Park, runners clad in colorful “unmentionables” ran along the lakefront course and enjoyed a post-race party to benefit the Bright Pink organization. Bright Pink supports the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer, and provides support for women known to be at high risk for these diseases.

While the volunteer team from NUHS remained fully clothed, they nonetheless enjoyed the spirit of the event conducted in good fun for a good cause. “This is one of many volunteer events we’ve participated in to help Bright Pink,” says clinician Sonia Joubert, DC. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the interns to be part of a community coalition dedicated to a great cause.”
