National University honored the Summer of 2021 graduating class during a Virtual Commencement Celebration. The celebration included a speech from President Joseph Stiefel, MS, EdD, DC, along with a presentation of 75 graduates who earned diplomas in chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, diagnostic imagining, acupuncture, oriental medicine, biomedical sciences and massage therapy.

Dr. Stiefel offered heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the entire university and thanked students for meeting the challenges of the past year with hard work and persistence.

“That’s what we do as National University of Health Sciences graduates. We meet challenges, we adapt and we overcome,” he said. “I’m certain that each of you will go out and change your communities and help people in ways too far numerous to account here. Probably in ways we haven’t even thought of yet.”

The virtual celebration featured speeches from the valedictorians of each program who reflected back on their accomplishments and thanked their loved ones for their support.

In her speech, Kamille A. Haley, valedictorian of the Master of Science in Acupuncture program, congratulated her fellow graduates for completing the rigorous program.

“From learning every single muscle, nerve, bone and organ of the human body, to being able to accurately locate roughly 361 acupuncture points on the human body, it has been no easy feat and I believe we are a force to be reckoned with,” she said.

John Marley Rodriguez, valedictorian of the Doctor of Chiropractic program, shared some of the experiences his graduating class had with various faculty members.

“With the guidance of all of our passionate educators that we had the privilege to learn from at NUHS, the work we undoubtedly had to do ourselves can now be the foundation our future patients rely on,” he said.
