My Journey Into Essential Oils

I’m absolutely thrilled for the change of season—fall is my favorite! I adore the crisp air, football season, and especially all the cozy fall scents—coffee, candles, baked goods—you name it. If you know me, you know I love making my home feel warm and inviting.

I’ve recently started exploring essential oils more deeply. Previously, I’d just diffuse whatever smelled nice and fit my budget. This journey began when I visited an aromatherapist for a chakra healing treatment, which turned out to be a life-changing experience. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it! Since that experience, my fascination with how different oils work has grown.

Lately, I’ve been diffusing oils at the student clinic while navigating my first trimester treating patients. I’m still working on my time management skills. I’ve also incorporated more diffusing at home. My focus is primarily on oils that invigorate me, enhance my concentration while studying, and boost my immunity. I always include my immunity blend, regardless of the other oils I use, and I’ve noticed that the invigorating blend I’m experimenting with creates a lighter, more uplifting atmosphere.

I’d love to integrate essential oils into my future practice—it feels like a perfect fit. Right now, I’m dedicated to discovering new, natural brands and understanding the various uses of each oil, whether for topical application, diffusion, or ingestion. There’s such a wide range of individual oils and blends to explore. For example, many people recognize that lavender has calming properties. Why not diffuse it to create a soothing environment, especially during a chaotic workday or stressful exam? It’s really that simple!

If you haven’t considered incorporating essential oils yet, this could be a fantastic addition to your future practice. They can significantly enhance the ambiance of a room, elevating the overall experience for our patients.
