Vasilios Nenos, DC, DIBCN, is an instructor at National University of Health Sciences’ (NUHS’) – Florida site. Before pursuing chiropractic medicine, he worked at several hospitals researching such specialties as gastrointestinal, genitourinary, nephrology and tr
Over the years, he has contributed to several research studies including, How to Treat Low Back Pain, Laparo-endoscopic Single Site (Less) Resection of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor and Can sorafenib increase survival for recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation? A pilot study.
In 2015, Dr. Nenos earned his bachelor of science in biology from Jacksonville University. He went on to complete his doctor of chiropractic degree and Diplomate of the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology (DIBCN) in 2019. This 300-hour clinical neurology diplomate program certifies him as a chiropractic neurologist. He specializes in dizziness, vertigo, concussion diagnostics and rehabilitation of these conditions.
Dr. Nenos first knew he wanted to teach after guest lecturing in a business development class. He enjoys working with students because of their heartfelt dedication to their education and enthusiasm for building future careers they can be proud of.
“Students want to know the right and wrong way to do things. They ask purposeful questions that have real life implications, and they are hungry to continuously improve. That drive to do better is very important to have as a student,” he said.
He said he enjoys that the close-knit student community feels like a family. After a hurricane in the Tampa Bay area, students insisted on helping each other with cleanup and getting back on their feet. Dr. Nenos noted that this isn’t something you see at a university that isn’t a family. He believes this is one of the primary attributes that makes NUHS unique.
Aside from teaching at NUHS, Dr. Nenos owns his own practice, MAST Health LLC, in Tampa, Fla.
