Speakers Address Patient Outcomes, Women’s Health Care

National University of Health Sciences hosted two free educational programs for students, faculty and staff at the Lombard campus on May 30.

Mercier Presentation 5.30.19

Jennifer Mercier gave a presentation hosted by the Lincoln College of Postprofessional, Graduate and Continuing Education discussing functional medicine applications for managing hormones and pelvic pain. She also shared information about her Mercier Therapy for gynovisceral manipulation in which the reproductive organs are mobilized and blood flow restored. She states that these practices can assist with endometriosis, PCOS, C section recovery, the IVF process and so much more. Her book, Women's Optimal Pelvic Health with Mercier Therapy, and a periodical articles about the therapy are available from the NUHS Learning Resource Center.

Brian Jensen Presentation 5.30.19

Student Council presented a "Lunch and Learn" program with Brian Jensen, DC, sponsored by Foot Levelers. Dr. Jensen addressed using the kinetic chain, functional movement and neuroplasticity for better patient outcomes. Dr. Jensen specializes in Structural Biomechanics and emphasizes nutrition and wellness principles in his Roanoke, Va., practice.
