NUHS Awards Institutional Scholarships to 11 Students

Scholarship _winners _graphic _by _rlcampCongratulations to 11 National University students who were recently awarded various scholarships toward their doctorate degrees in chiropractic and naturopathic medicine, and masters degrees in acupuncture and oriental medicine.

Institutional scholarships include a variety of corporate, alumni, memorial and university sponsored awards that can range from $1,000 to $23,000. The scholarships are based on criteria that often include GPA and essay requirements reviewed by the Financial Aid Scholarship Committee.

These scholarships are in addition to university scholarships awarded to incoming students based upon merit and prior academic achievement. The awards are given every trimester and are funded mostly by donors and alumni.

"These scholarships represent the generosity of our corporate sponsors and the support of our alumni," said Marc Yambao, director of financial aid. "I encourage more students to apply and take advantage of the several scholarships available to them."

Scholarship applications for the spring 2017 trimester will be available in January.
