Job Summary

The Student Services Coordinator functions as a student advocate. This is an integral role within the University interacting with all departments to ensure the student experience is a success. Providing support to the Dean is an integral role within the department.

The Student Services Coordinator must be able to work and interact well with students, staff, faculty and a variety of external constituencies. This individual must also be adept at multi-tasking and working in a varied work environment full of change

Responsibilities

• Provide general assistance and referral guidance to students seeking information about resources, counseling services and insurance as needed.
• Coordinate and execute various university ceremonies and special events.
• Provide assistance with development and updating of Student Services resources on internal and external media platforms.
• Coordinate Co Curricular Learning Opportunities.
• Assist with revisions of student resources.
• Provide assistance with management of disability services in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act .
• Assist with the managing of the Peer-Tutoring Program.
• Perform various data entry and reporting tasks using the University’s student information system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Successful completion BA/BS Degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong spelling, grammar and editing skills.
• Prior work experience in a university setting.
• Event planning and time management skills, ability to multitask on projects.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty and staff.
• Ability to listen objectively and empathetically.
• Respect for University confidentiality.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Salary:

$19.23/hr
