The primary responsibility of this position is to work with patients in a one-on-one approach to deliver the care and attention each patient desires to achieve the best outcomes, focusing on the patient’s well-being as well as their treatment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Screens, examines, and evaluates patients, including history, systems review, and applications of appropriate tests and measures.
Designs the session to help the patient’s specific complaints or needs.
Maintain a safe, clean treatment room and adhering to Clean Needle Technique protocols. Comply with procedures, rules regulations and law.
Administer acupuncture treatment using sterile, single use needles at specified locations to address patient’s complaints.
Evaluate effects of treatment by observing, noting and evaluating patient’s progress, modifying if necessary. Document patient’s treatments.
Provide a recommended course of treatment.
Develops appropriate treatment goals and methods in collaboration with patients and implements accordingly.
Familiar with using electronic health record.
Maintains and nurtures a positive attitude toward patients and treatment programs.
Maintains HIPAA and protects LSM by keeping patient records confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education programs such as workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Complies with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional requirements.
Maintains appropriate documentation, including S.O.A.P. notes, detailing the patient’s response to treatment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Active Acupuncture license for the State of Wisconsin is required.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, portraying a high degree of professionalism.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and accept and implement change.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and make decisions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines under general supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
CPR and AED certifications preferred but not required.
Frequent standing and sitting.
Frequent use of hearing and speech in communication with patients and staff.
Frequent use of vision, both near and far, to judge distances, spatial relationships, and identifying and distinguishing colors.
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and use of keyboards for data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of foot/leg and hand/arm.
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.

$30,000.00 – $70,000.00+ (range includes base, plus commission)
