Transfer Students
Transfer students must follow the application procedure for new
students, must meet the current entrance requirements for admission
to National University of Health Sciences, and must be approved by
the Committee on Admissions.
National University will award advanced standing credits for
institutions fully accredited by specialty professional health care
accrediting commissions such as the Accreditation Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Commission on Accreditation
of the Council on Chiropractic Education, the Council on
Naturopathic Medical Education, or award credits from another
accredited professional college, in those instances where the
credits are germane and equivalent to the credits of the curriculum
of National University. Because there is not total universality
between various chiropractic, naturopathic and professional
colleges with regard to curricula, transfer students should expect
to lose some credit given at institutions attended previously.
Courses considered for advanced standing must be equivalent in
content and quality to those of National University and must be
satisfactorily completed with grades of C or higher (2.0 on a 4.0
scale). Additional regulations apply to transfer students; these
regulations can be found in the NUHS Bulletin.
