Student Information Systems Specialist
Job Summary
Coordinate and operationalize the Student Information System
(SIS) and the components that integrate with all University
systems. Coordinate the data stored and work with departments to
centralize and standardize information and reports. Develop
documented processes with departments to create operational
procedures and training manuals for each department to ensure
operational best practice.
Responsibilities
- Learn the function data, reporting of the major operational
areas of the University.
- Streamline processes and consider best practices in all
functional departments.
- Be responsible for ensuring timely updates, reporting and
maintenance of SIS system.
- Oversee implementation/ set-up of major software/hardware
implementations.
- Ensure communications to all University constituents on
projects/timelines, training, etc.
- Be responsible for departments meeting their assigned,
timelines and ensuring projects are completed within established
timeframes.
- Coordinate and monitor event timelines and event logistics
- Work in cooperation with others, including administrators,
faculty, staff and students on assigned projects and daily
activities.
- Schedule and coordinate significant campus events/projects
relative to the Vice President for Business Services
- Maintain confidentiality of all administrative matters and
documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Experience with implementation of Higher Education Student
Information System
- Excellent typing skills.
- Efficient in appropriate software programs.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Project management experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent event planning skills.
- Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Professional appearance.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred
- Minimum of 4-5 years of educational institutions
experience.
- Experience in implementation of Higher Education Student
Information Systems
- Experience using Campus Nexus software by Campus
Management
- Microsoft project and/or excel
- Experience with Office 365.
