Dr. W. Scott Harrison graduated with a doctor of chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in 1987, and is currently the faculty clinician at the NUHS Whole Health Center - SPC in Florida.
Before attending National, Dr. Harrison earned his undergraduate degree from Warren Wilson College. Prior to his career in chiropractic medicine, he worked as a massage therapist as well as a casualty claims adjuster, managing personal injury, workers compensation and medical malpractice claims.
After graduating from National, Dr. Harrison enjoyed over 13 years of private practice in Rhode Island and Connecticut. He served as a clinician at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic for over 16 years, with the last 2 years serving as clinic coordinator of two off-campus satellite clinics. In 2007 he started a private practice in Monroe, Connecticut with his wife Hyun Jung Harrison who is a licensed acupuncturist.
An avid martial arts enthusiast and student of eastern philosophies, Dr. Harrison is certified in both acupuncture and shiatsu. He is also certified in Graston Technique. Dr. Harrison's core philosophy is: You are defined by how you have persevered in life. The moral is to always get back up, never lose faith and always strive to do your best, no matter what. For the ultimate truth in this world is what you leave behind, and making a positive difference in someone else's life. This is also the path of becoming a great doctor.
