Krista Burns, DC, DHA is an Instructor of Clinical Sciences at National University of Health Sciences Florida-site.

Specializing in postural correction, Dr. Burns develops advanced clinical education programs and techniques for structural postural correction, brain-based postural correction, pediatric postural correction and postural ergonomics. She is the founder of the American Posture Institute and previously ran a posture-focused practice in Italy. Dr. Burns has lectured extensively at medical and chiropractic conferences around the world on postural correction. She is also the author of the textbook The Posture Principles, and a TEDx Speaker.

Her work has been featured in the media including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News Radio, and Global Woman Magazine, and prestigious stages including the World Congress of Neurology and Neurological Disorders along with the World Congress of Falls and Postural Stability. In 2021, she was recognized as a Top 100 Doctor by the Global Summits Institute and is the host of the International Posture Symposium.

Dr. Burns earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic and Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) from Capella University.

As an instructor, Dr. Burns is passionate about watching students implement the clinical science concepts, knowing they will be helping future patients overcome pain and dysfunction.

In addition to teaching at NUHS, she is also an adjunct professor at Everglades University, teaching public health to students in Master’s-level programs.
