Michelle Ennsman, DC, ND

Chief Clinician of Naturopathic Medicine

Dr . Michelle EnnsmannMichelle Ennsman, DC, ND, was named Chief Clinician of Naturopathic Medicine at the NUHS Whole Health Center in Lombard in 2017. She oversees the supervision, education and advisement of eighth, ninth and tenth trimester naturopathic interns and the activities of the Naturopathic Medicine Department including practicing clinicians.

She previously served as a fill-in ND clinician faculty for about two years. She earned both her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and her Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from National University and her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University/Purdue University.

Outside National University, she runs her own private medical practice in Winfield, Ill., which encompasses naturopathic and chiropractic medicine along with massage therapy. She also provides free monthly health talks that focus on educating the general public about human physiology.  These talks occur at the Lightheart Center on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.

Her interest in natural healthcare began with her own personal journey and struggles with allopathic medicine.  After experiencing care from several holistic healthcare providers, she began to truly experience a healthy life.  In a society where we focus on reactionary healthcare versus preventative healthcare, she endeavors to educate patients on the way our bodies were truly meant to function.

Her signature talk is titled "Living as Nature Intended" and focuses on living cohesively with our environment.   She strives to be the most ethical healthcare provider in Winfield and the surrounding areas, and patient-centered care is her passion.  She intends to convey this passion to her students, and share with them the intricacies of doctor/patient relationships and its essential function in practice building.
