National welcomes students from all over the world. In fact, National graduates currently practice in over 27 countries and on 6 continents.

Our staff is experienced in helping international students apply for and plan their degree program, and can answer questions you may have about your extended stay in the United States.

Our location boasts the best of two worlds. While our campus is in the safe, family-oriented suburb of Lombard, we are approximately 20 miles west of the city of Chicago. International students and their families will appreciate the proximity to O'Hare International Airport, as well as world-famous museums, lakefront festivals and all the resources of a world-class city.

Before your arrival in the U.S., we can assist you in arranging convenient on-campus housing, and can also help in your search for financial aid. Although work options may be limited for international students, there are some work-study openings in select university departments.

Each year, National welcomes a large number of students from Canada and around the world. In addition, NUHS offers a special International Student Scholarship which offers international students a financial award of $1000 per trimester, starting with the 3rd trimester, if they have a CGPA of 2.5, and maintain full-time enrollment. International students are also eligible for the President's Award as well as the Dean's Award which offer scholarship money for the 1st and 2nd trimester of study, provided the student meets GPA criteria.

Although international students may apply for ALL of our professional degree programs, due to visa restrictions, international students are NOT eligible to participate in our Prerequisite Program.

International Students Must Complete and Submit All Necessary Admissions Forms by DECEMBER 1st in Order to Begin Spring Trimester.
