Massage Therapy Curriculum
The massage therapy programs at National provide thorough training in every area necessary to practice successfully as a professional massage therapist. The curriculum provides you with a solid grounding in anatomy and physiology, includes study of massage theory and history, and offers extensive training in clinical massage as well as business practices and ethics. You will be prepared for immediate work in any health care setting or for self-employment.
The programs operate on a trimester system (one trimester = 15 weeks). Full-time evening students can complete the massage therapy certification program in three trimesters, or one calendar year. Associate of Applied Science students can finish their program in one year provided all additional general education credits toward the degree are completed.
Classes are offered in the evenings Monday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. New students may begin their massage therapy program in September, May, or January.
