Leading the Way!
Here at National University we are proud of our research
department for leading the way in complementary and alternative
medicine (CAM) research.
National University boasts many research "firsts." We were:
- The first chiropractic institution to establish a dedicated
Patient and Research Center in 1980, and the first recipient of a
$1 million private grant funding a majority of the important early
basic and clinical science research in chiropractic medicine.
- The first institution offering a chiropractic program to
receive a National Institutes of Health RO1 grant, and continue to
be one of the highest producers of original research in
chiropractic medicine.
- The first institution to establish a blind-peer-reviewed
scientific journal for the chiropractic profession indexed by the
National Library of Medicine. Today, the Journal of Manipulative
and Physiological Therapeutics is the official research
journal of the American Chiropractic Association, and it is one of
three scientific research journals
published by National University.
And there is so much more. We invite you to contact our
Research Department faculty and staff for more information.
If you are affiliated with our National University community and
have an idea for new research, it may help to review the policies
and guidelines governing new research projects.
