Student Curriculum
The student component of National University's evidence based
practice program is designed to increase depth and breadth of
exposure to and use of research literature in clinical education
and practice.
We incorporate evidence based practice (EBP) in our professional
degree curriculum through:
- Introductory EBP knowledge and skill-building activities (4
lecture hours) in the Fundamentals of Natural Medicine (Phase 1
Trimester 1) course
- EBP1: Research Literacy integrated into the Trimester 2 Public
Health Course
- Two standalone courses (Research Literacy; Study Design and
Critical Appraisal; Applied EBP), and an optional Independent
Research Study
- A journal club course during the Phase Three clinical
internship
