National University's Assistant Dean for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Dr. Frank Yurasek, was
recently elected to the post of Vice President of the Illinois
Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The Illinois
Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ILAAOM) is
Illinois' oldest professional organization representing licensed
acupuncturists and students, along with oriental medical schools
and acupuncture-related businesses.
Dr. Yurasek, who is now beginning his 3-year term, says: "My focus will be in building practitioner and student ILAAOM membership. I hope to do this through keeping the organization involved in relevant national and local issues to which the acupuncture profession can make meaningful contributions."
NUHS is proud that so many of its faculty, like Dr. Yurasek, are serving or have served in leadership positions within their professions.
