The scholarships listed below are available to students who are members of certain organizations. If you have questions about any of the scholarships listed or your eligibility for a particular scholarship program, contact the Financial Aid Office.

 Christian Chiropractors Association (CCA)

Community Services Block Grant (CDBG) Scholarship

  • Deadline: Early May
  • Award: Varies

  • Criteria:
    • Resident of DuPage County
    • Enrolled in an Illinois accredited higher education program
    • Minimum 2.5 GPA
    • Meet CSBG low-income requirements

Dr. Ken Leudtke Memorial Scholarship – Presented by the WCA and LSM

  • Deadline: July
  • Award: $2,000
  • Application: Download
  • Criteria:
    • The individual has matriculated into a chiropractic college in the Doctor of Chiropractic program
    • The student is in the sixth trimester or higher
    • The student is a member of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association (click here to join free of charge)
    • The student is either from Wisconsin or intends to practice in Wisconsin upon graduation
    • The student has maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.1

Federation Internationale de Chiropractic du Sport
(Sponsored by World Federation of Chiropractic, Foot Levelers and Standard Process)

  • Deadline: October 30 each year
  • Award: 4 awards of $1,000 each

  • Criteria
    • Full-time chiropractic student graduating during 2017 or after
    • Essay on importance of sport chiropractic services
    • Description of your personal participation in fitness and sports
    • Description of your contributions to sports chiropractic at National University
    • Letter of recommendation from a faculty member

Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship

  • Deadline: February 28
  • Award: $1,000
  • Application: Online
  • Criteria:
    • Current college student that is not yet in their final year of studies
    • High school senior that has already been accepted to a college or university
    • Essay and completed application

NBCE Annual Student Scholarship Competition

  • Deadline: August
  • Award: 5 awards of $2,000

  • Criteria:
    • The author must be enrolled as a student in a US, CCE-accredited, chiropractic degree program at the time of submission.
    • The author must be in good academic standing and must have passed all of NBCE Part I.
    • Only one essay is allowed per student per competition.

Pinellas Park Medical District Scholarship (Florida)

  • Deadline: June
  • Awards: $5,000 in total scholarships ($2,500; $1,500; and $1,000)
  • Application: Request from Financial Aid office
  • Criteria:
    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Must have declared a major or course of study for a healthcare degree or program offered at an education institution located in the City of Pinellas Park (Florida) and the institution must be a member of the Pinellas Park Medical District
    • Must be enrolled “Full-time” or “Part-time” as a student within a health program
    • Must be in good academic standing at the institution currently attending or institution most previously attended

Schweitzer Fellowship Opportunities

Founded in 1996, Health & Medicine’s Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellows Program cultivates aspiring health and human services professionals to be informed, concerned, and involved with addressing health inequities.  Each year, the Schweitzer Program provides 30 exceptional students with opportunities to design and implement projects to improve the health and well-being of under served Chicago communities. Fellows’ projects often address the social determinants of health, and their activities frequently include tutoring, violence prevention, health education, healthy lifestyles promotion, and outreach to vulnerable and marginalized groups. Our “Fellows for Life” alumni program supports our graduates’ further development as leaders in service, and provides them with continuing networking, skill-building and community service opportunities.

  • Criteria:
    • Any student who will be enrolled at least part-time in a health related, graduate- level-degree-granting program during the Fellowship year is welcome to apply.
    • Applications must include:
      • Completed Application form
      • A brief resume (no longer than 2 pages)

Standard Process

  • Deadline: Established each trimester
  • Award: 3 awards of $2,000
  • Application: Request from Financial Aid office
  • Criteria:
    • Cumulative CGPA of 2.9 or better
    • Enrolled in trimester 2 through 9 of the DC program
    • Provide list of contributions to the college, community and chiropractic profession
    • Submit an essay on specific topic as noted on the application

Truspine Chiropractic Scholarship

Truspine is offering a chiropractic scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate students with a passion for chiropractic.

  • Deadline: May 31, 2018
  • Award: $500 scholarship
  • Criteria:
    • Topic: “What is the Potential for Chiropractors in 2018?”
    • Discuss both the benefits and disadvantages of our current health model in relation to chiropractic
