Nancy Steinke received her bachelor's degree in biological science from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. Aterwards, she went on to earn a master's degree in biological science from Southeast Missouri State University.
She has served of the faculty of Indiana University, Vincennes University, and National University of Health Sciences in the fields of physiology, anatomy, human biology and biology. She has also been an adjunct faculty member of Olney Central College, Waubonsee Community College, Eligin Community College, and Moraine Valley Community College. Additionally, she has authored or co-authored several published articles in various research and scientific journals.
An avid horticulturist, Ms. Steinke has the prestige of receiving the State Master Gardener of the Year Award in 2003.
