Dr. April Miller, is a clinician at the NUHS Whole Health Center-Chicago, and has been on the faculty since 2009. Dr. Miller obtained her BA in Biology from Hastings College in 1991 and her BS and DC degree from NUHS in 2000 and 2002, respectively. She taught integrative technique, as well as thoracic, lumbar/pelvis and extremity evaluation and management courses prior to her current assignment. Dr. Miller is certified in both acupuncture and Kinesiotaping, and maintains a private practice in Wheaton, Illinois on a part-time basis.
Dr. Miller is a native of Denver, Colorado. She has achieved a few firsts in her lifetime including becoming the first African-American Homecoming Queen at Hastings College in 1990, and the first African-American female clinician at NUHS in 2012. Some of Dr. Miller's hobbies include singing and traveling. She has participated in a few vocal recordings with various choirs over the years. Currently, and she is very active with her church/choir during her spare time. Dr. Miller has traveled to Malaysia, Singapore, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Canada and many cities in the continental U.S.
