Claire Johnson is the Editor in Chief
for National University of Health Sciences for the Journal
of Manipulative and Physiological
Therapeutics, Journal of Chiropractic
Medicine, and Journal of Chiropractic
Humanities. She has also served as the previous co-editor
of the Journal of Sports
Chiropractic and Rehabilitation and the
Chiropractic Research Review. For the past ten years, she has
served as the Peer Review Chair for the scientific papers for the
Association of Chiropractic Colleges Educational conference, a
conference that has recently combined with the Research Agenda
Conference to form the ACC-RAC conference.
In addition to editing several books, Opportunities in Chiropractic Careersand Review Questions for the NBCE Examinations Part I and II, she has also authored papers in peer reviewed journals in the topics of educational, clinical, and historical research.
Her undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego, Revelle focused in the subjects of Biology and Psychology. After her doctorate of chiropractic degree earned at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1991, she continued her clinical education by completing a diplomate in sports chiropractic. After this, she received her master's degree in education from University of Southern California, through the Keck School of Medicine and Rossier School of Education. The focus of her master's project was the creation and implementation of evidence-based practice skills throughout a chiropractic curriculum, which included practical applications and appreciation for the scientific literature. Dr. Johnson is now pursuing a PhD in Public Health with a focus in epidemiology.
